We assist SA radio station 5FM with their social media strategy and management. This includes Twitter Facebook and their web content through their 5FM station blogging platform.

Melissa consults to Ogilvy PR in Johannesburg as their preferred DigitalPR strategist, working with clients like Castle Lager, SA Tourism, Sasol, PPC, SAP, Cell C, Castrol and Avis, to establish OPR in the online space.

5FM, Global Express Technology Feature

We consulted to leading SA radio station 5FM and website developers Praekelt Consulting on creating a new Technology project for the Global Express radio show which is hosted each Saturday by Poppy Ntshongwana.
This is an exciting project from which we will develop a dynamic tech / trend / cool portal.

2006, 2007, 2008 & 2009 Big Blue Makhulu Polane design competitions

The PRISA award winning Makhulu Polane t-shirt design competition is an annual event conceptualised by local fashion retailers, Big Blue. The competition is open to anyone and the aim is to discover the best local design talent.

Big Blue Makhulu Polane 2009 competition has closed and the entries received were of the highest standard yet.

In 2006 Melissa, then with agency Black Khaki, conceptualised and managed the ‘Makhulu Polane’ (Big Idea) online campaign for Big Blue The campaign was awarded a 2007 Silver PRISA Prism award in the ‘use of internet’ category. Check out the 2006 case study here

All Africa Poker

GetOn consulted to AAP on how to utilise tools like blogging, twitter and facebook to build their online community and effectively communicate latest news and tournament plays and results. AAP have impressively, and quickly made social media an integral part of their marketing.

Amorphous, iLearn blog

Amorphous is a leading Johannesburg based digital design agency. Their blog iLearn highlights cool trends, design and technology and functions as a one stop info station for all digital design and advertising professionals.
GetOn managed the content and social media marketing for the iLearn project.

adidas, 60 years of soles and stripes

We were involved with a number of agencies on a project to create the Soles and Stripes blog to celebrate adidas originals and the 60 years of history they celebrate in 2009. Our ‘3 stripe slave’ Adigurl blogged about cool, quirky and funny things that have happened while adidas has been around.

SAMRO, Southern African Music Rights Organisation

In 2008 SAMRO embraced social media as a way of connecting with, and further building, their SAMRO community. The SAMRO blog introduced a dynamic online point of contact and means that they can chat directly with their members and other interested parties.
During the 6 month launch period we consulted to SAMRO on how to leverage the power of social media tools to chat to their community.

Clover Mama Afrika CSI project

The Clover Mama Afrika project empowers women in communities by teaching them sustainable skills. We consulted to Black Khaki Online to finalise and launch their new social media portal which will keep journalists and other interested parties well informed on all aspects of the initiative.

HSRC, Human Sciences Research Council

GetOn assisted the digital department of the HSRC with setting up custom RSS feeds to assist them with monitoring and tracking their online reputation and web presence.

TED Africa 2008

GetOn developed much of the initial online social media strategy and development for the TED Africa conference which was planned for Cape Town in 2008. Unfortunately the conference was cancelled and TED Global will decide when this will go ahead.
